What To Know Before Delivery
Where it goes
- About 8 ft wide, so a standard driveway works
- Roughly 60 ft of straight clear approach for the truck
- Nothing low overhead, no branches or wires
- Move cars before the delivery window, not during it
- We can lay boards under the rails to protect asphalt, just ask
Street placement and permits
- On your own driveway or property, no permit needed
- On a public street, most cities require one
- Rules differ between Dayton, Middletown and Monroe
- Tell us the address and we'll tell you what applies
What Goes In, What Doesn't
Goes in
- Household junk and furniture
- Remodeling debris, drywall, lumber, trim
- Flooring, carpet, cabinets and fixtures
- Yard waste, brush and fence panels
- Roofing shingles, tell us the layers first
Stays out
- Paint, chemicals and hazardous waste
- Motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks
- Tires and car batteries
- Asbestos and medical waste
- Fridges or AC units still holding refrigerant
Fill it level with the top rail. Anything stacked above the rim can't legally be hauled, so it has to come off before the truck leaves. Keep it flat with the top and the pickup is simple.

Common Questions
What size dumpster do I need?
A 10 yard suits a single room or a small cleanout. A 20 yard is our most popular and handles most remodels and garage cleanouts. Go 30 or 40 yard for a whole-home cleanout, an addition or a roof tear-off. Tell us what you're clearing and we'll pick it with you in a minute.
Will a dumpster fit in my driveway?
Almost always. Every container is about 8 feet wide, so it fits a standard driveway with room to walk around it. You need roughly 60 feet of clear straight approach for the truck to drop and collect it, and no low branches or wires overhead.
Will it damage my driveway?
A loaded container is heavy, and asphalt can mark in hot weather. We lay boards under the rails on request, which spreads the weight. Ask when you book and we'll plan for it.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster?
Not on your own driveway or property. You usually need one only when the container sits on a public street, and the rules vary by city. Tell us your address and we'll tell you what applies.
How long can I keep it?
Most rentals cover a set number of days and we can extend if the project runs long. Call before your pickup date and we'll move it.
How full can I fill it?
Level with the top rail. Anything stacked above the rim cannot be legally hauled, so the driver would have to leave it or you'd have to pull it off. Keep it flat with the top and you're fine.
What can't go in a dumpster?
Hazardous waste, paint and chemicals, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, tires, car batteries, asbestos, medical waste, and fridges or AC units that still hold refrigerant. Ask about anything borderline and we'll tell you straight.
What does dumpster rental cost?
It depends on the size, your address and how long you keep it. Call or text and you'll get a clear number before anything is booked, with the price in writing.
Tell us what you're clearing out
We'll tell you which size you need and check availability for your date. No pressure and no surprise fees.
